Most Powerful Animals on Earth


BERLIN - tardigrade, is claimed as the most powerful animals, not only on Earth, but also in space. These animals reportedly can  live without water, can survive in the extreme conditions of temperature and strong radiation.

Reported Spacedaily, Monday (12/31/2012), tardigrade also able to survive in a vacuum or space. These animals are more commonly called "water bears", which has the form of a small (approximately 1.5 mm in body length).

These animals opens new perspectives in the process of dehydration, which can be used not only to preserve food, but also for vaccines and blood. Tardigrade discovered two centuries ago.

The first person to find tardigrade a German zoologist, Johann August Ephraim Goeze. It has been observed tardigrade since 1773. "Small animals is odd, because the morphology is similar extraordinary and bear in miniature," said Johann.

Tardigrade with its smallest, has ukurang less than one millimeter. From an evolutionary standpoint, tardigrade can be associated with insects and crustaceans.

Researchers say this is a small animal shaped animals that live in water. They live in aquatic habitats, such as lagoons, or terrestrial habitats such as soil or moss.

More than 1000 varieties tardigrade been found. However, the number of species still unknown
